As a renewed effort to include specialists (kickers/punters) into the spotlight in San Diego county. The Kicking System is establishing a weekly blog to capture: stats, news, articles and much more.
This week TKS kicker, Blake Khaleghi from La Jolla Country Day School (San Diego, CA) went 2 for 2 on field goals and kicked 2 extra points for 8 total points and 2 touch backs. This also earned him TKS Kicker of the week honors. Erik Duarte from Olympian HS, also booted 2 field goals and kicking the longest field goal of the week at 41 yards.

As for the punting game, strong combo specialists Matt Araiza, from Rancho Bernardo HS, and Ryan Sanborn, from Francis Parker HS, lead the charge with a 46.8 and 42.0 yard per punt average. Ryan a former TKS student comes with a extensive kicking pedigree, being a All-American as a eighth grader and played in the 2014 Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl. Matt Araiza, has broken almost every San Diego section CIF kicking record already is primed for playing on Saturday afternoons.
