Samuel Tuscano, a free agent kicker from Pt. Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, worked out privately with TKS this week.
This story is made more interesting by the fact that Tuscano chose an unconventional path to become a professional kicker. When Tuscano played sports in college, he was an attacking forward for the Pt Loma Nazarene University soccer team. Tuscano got fired up when he started watching Brandon Aubrey, the kicker for the Dallas Cowboys. Like Aubrey, Tuscano has played soccer all of his life until now.
After a thorough TKS Dynamic Performance Warm-up (DPW), Tuscano was prepared to throw his leg in a football. Tuscano had remarkable athleticism and was a quick learner. After mastering some kicking principles, he started developing his own Kicking System (KS). On his debut, he had the opportunity to showcase his kickoff leg and displayed impressive leg strength while making field goals. “Samuel is a great talent, we think he has a knack for kicking and we are going to push him to next level and prepare him for pro tryouts,” said TKS Director John Matich.
