TKS returned to Lincoln High School to work with Coach Hamamoto’s staff. After spending time with former soccer player Yair’s technique on Monday, we can say that he is already a potential All-Eastern League kicker. The sophomore, who kicked his first-ever field goal on Monday, made 25 out of 25 extra points during the team’s special teams period. After working solely on field goals on the first day of spring ball, this time we focused on Yair’s kickoffs, especially on the scissor-kick technique. We were impressed that Yair consistently hit 50-yard kickoffs with decent hangtime off the 1-inch tee. TKS also instructed the Hornets’ potential punters. Among them, DJ, a rising senior outside linebacker with great power and flexibility, stood out from the crowd. Since he already had a natural leg swing, we introduced him to what we call “the perfect drop”. Stay tuned as we will update their progress over the course of the spring.
