During the winter months in San Diego, numerous TKS soccer players and kickers made tremendous progress. With great weather all winter long (besides a few rain drops) TKS students took advantage of the situation.
The beginning of the winter, we had numerous college kickers and alumni come back and have private lessons, culminating with Winter Kicking Camp in La Jolla on January 13th.
TKS now one of the world’s biggest kicking academy, hosts kickers from all over the world including Croatia and Brazil. TKS plans to continue moving forward with plans to incorporate more Yoga and Pilates integrated into each session.
“I am really humbled at the moment, I have instilled a kicking system with some very talented athletes and they have really thrived. They are a real example on how a student-athlete should work in the off-season,” said John Luka Matich, President and Owner of The Kicking System. “Our success as an academy reflects upon the athletes who have stepped up and are willing to take the next step.”
During the winter here are some standouts:
1) Roman M. – Improved his overall conditioning, strength and flexibility for soccer. And his shot continues to improve
2) Christian F. – Made solid strides in his field goal technique
3) Noah C – Has been consistent and steadily improving his overall kicking technique
4) Brandon H – Can now hit 4.5 hang time punts!
TKS is planning its Spring Kicking Camp for April 28th,2013 in San Diego, CA. In all TKS had a great winter kicking camp and plans on continued success this spring. Lastly, Tim Callian, committed to Southeastern Louisiana as a punter this winter.
