The “Aubrey effect” continues to ripple through the kicking world, inspiring athletes from diverse backgrounds to explore their kicking potential. This weekend, The Kicking System (TKS) welcomed Griffin, a standout soccer player from San Diego’s powerhouse St. Augustine HS, known for their recent CA State Championship.

Following the footsteps of former soccer player Brandon Aubrey, now a kicker for the Dallas Cowboys, Griffin arrived with ambition and athleticism. After a thorough TKS Dynamic Performance Warm-up (DPW), he eagerly dove into the world of kicking.

While adjustments were needed to adapt his soccer background to kicking mechanics, Griffin quickly grasped the concepts. He impressed Coach John Matich with his natural kicking motion and athleticism, effortlessly booting 50-yard field goals and embracing new techniques.

“Griffin has a great upside,” Coach Matich remarked. “His natural kicking motion and incredible athleticism combined with increased kicking volume over the next month, can easily see him hitting 55-60 yard field goals.”

This story highlights the growing trend of soccer players transitioning to kicking, fueled by the success stories of athletes like Aubrey. It emphasizes Griffin’s natural talent, quick learning curve, and promising future with TKS’s guidance and use of technology.
